Conditions of hire
Fulfords Holiday Cottages (Fulfords) act
as agents for the property owner and the
contract of hire will be between the hirer
and the property owner
and shall be subject to these conditions
of hire.
1. Provisional reservations
can be accepted by telephone
and must be confirmed within 5 working days
by our
receipt of a completed booking form and your
remittance of: one third of total rent, and
booking fee.
The Security deposit is due with the balance
of rental,
this being held against any charges incurred
as a result
of any breach by the tenants of the conditions
(eg
breakages, damages, additional cleaning etc.)
Where no
liability for charges is incurred, the security
deposit will
be returned within a minimum of 21 working
days.You
will be responsible for any damage done to
the
property or its contents by yourselves, your
guests and
your pets. OVERSEAS VISITORS are required to
pay half the rental in advance together with
security
deposit. Payment by Credit Card only please.CREDIT
CARD CHARGE 2%, NO CHARGE FOR
SWITCH OR DELTA DEBIT CARDS,
PROVISIONAL BOOKINGS WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY
CANCELLED IF NOT
CONFIRMED WITHIN 5 DAYS.
2. When a provisional booking has been confirmed,
the
tenant is responsible for the total rent and
is due for
payment 6 weeks prior to the commencing holiday.
3. For bookings made less than 6 weeks before
arrival, the
total amount is due, to include full rental,
security
deposit and electricity / gas payments. Summer
28th
April - 22nd September, winter all other times.
4. A booking fee of £25.00 is payable
on all bookings.
5. HOLIDAY CANCELLATION INSURANCE -
You are required to take out Holiday Cancellation
Insurance to provide cover for the amount
payable in
the event of cancellation of your booking
before or
during your holiday through accident or illness
of any
member of your party. Evidence of such insurance
cover maybe required. WHERE REASON FOR
CANCELLATION IS OUTSIDE THE COVER
OF ANY INSURANCE POLICY,
CANCELLATION CAN ONLY BE EFFECTED
BY ARRANGING A SUITABLE SUBTENANCY
WITH THE OWNER OR THEIR
AGENT’S APPROVAL. THE AGENTS WILL
BE HAPPY TO ASSIST IN THIS MATTER FOR
A CHARGE OF 15% + VAT OF THE RENTAL.
YOU MUST PAY IN FULL AT THE TIME OF
BOOKING IF YOU DO NOT HAVE
INSURANCE.
6. Any complaints regarding the accommodation
or any shortage or defects, should be reported
by 5.00pm the Monday after arrival otherwise
we are unable to investigate the matter
properly.
7. While every effort is taken to ensure the
accuracy of
the description of each proper ty and that
all
information given in this brochure is believed
to be
correct at the time of going to press, and
given in good
faith neither Fulfords nor the property owners
accept
responsibility for errors. The property owners
cannot
accept liability for problems outside their
reasonable
control such as breakdowns of domestic appliances,
plumbing, etc. although every effort will be
made to
rectify problems as soon as possible.
8. Neither the property owners nor Fulfords
accept
responsibility for injury to tenants, their
guests or third
parties (except in the case of death or personal
injury
resulting from our negligence) or loss or damage
to
their belongings, any car or its contents.
9. TENANTS MAY COLLECT KEYS AFTER
2.30PM ON THE DAY OF ARRIVAL AND
MUST VACATE AND RETURN THE KEYS TO
FULFORDS BY 10AM (NO LATER) ON THE
DAY OF DEPARTURE. IF THESE TIMES ARE
NOT ADHERED TO,AN EXTRA DAY’S RENT
WILL BE CHARGED.
10 All occupants must be named on the booking
form.The
hirer must not sublet the accommodation nor
share it
except with those named on the booking form.
The
property owners or their agents Fulfords reserve
the
right to terminate the hire without notice
and without
refund if the number of occupiers is exceeded
or (at
their discretion) to make additional charge.
11. All bookings are from Saturday to Saturday
unless
otherwise stated.Where Friday to Friday bookings
are
stated the rental will be as if it were from
the Saturday
to Saturday.
12. PETS,WHERE PERMITTED,ARE CHARGED £20
PER PET, PER WEEK. PLEASE NOTE, PETS ARE
TO BE KEPT UNDER CONTROL
AT ALL TIMES AND NEVER ALLOWED ON
THE FURNITURE NOR LEFT ALONE
INSIDE THE PROPERTY.
13. THE TENANTS MUST LEAVE THE
PROPERTY IN A CLEAN AND TIDY
CONDITION, READY FOR INCOMING
TENANTS.
14. Prospective hirers must contact the owners
agents if
they wish to satisfy themselves as to any point
of
par ticular concern such as disabled access.
Any
responses to requests for information are subject
to
clause 8 above.
15. Any articles of value left by the tenants
if located can
be forwarded on receipt of a minimum handling
fee of £25.00 plus P&P.
16. The Tenancy created by this agreement is
a Holiday Let
within paragraph 9 of Part 1 to schedule 1
of the
Housing Act 1988.
17. You will be required to sign a disclaimer
for properties
with a swimming pool.
18. Amendments or alterations to the holiday
booking at
your request or a re-issue of the confirmation
due to
loss of the original will be subject to a £30
administration fee.
